A housing lottery combines applicant-facing work with a project’s compliance requirements. MGNY’s existing lottery system supports:

• Log review and screening: organising the applicant review process for the building’s lottery.
• Document verification and communication: coordinating the information needed to review applicant files.
• File submission: assembling the applicant information for the applicable approval process.
• Tours and lease signing: coordinating the steps between applicant review and occupancy.

The applicable HPD and HDC rules and the building’s agreements determine the requirements. A portal supports this work; it does not replace the required eligibility review or agency decisions.

What should an owner bring to the first conversation?

Have the building address, affordable unit schedule, relevant regulatory or tax-benefit documents, anticipated lease-up timing and any existing marketing or application records available.
