Michael Geylik
Founder and President
For more than a decade, Michael Geylik has led MGNY in helping real estate developers and operators in New York City meet their property tax management needs.
Michael has worked with hundreds of property owners and developers to help them realize commercial tax abatement and exemption benefits. Upon realizing that the stagnant tax certiorari industry needed a fresh inflow of energy and innovation, he founded MGNY.
Michael believes that a technology-based approach coupled with unorthodox solutions works best for his clients. He also feels educating clients to demystify New York City property taxes is an important component of establishing lasting relationships.
Prior to founding MGNY, Michael worked at Ben Rottenstein and Jack Jaffa and Associates as an ICIP/ICAP consultant. There, he assisted developers in obtaining millions in tax benefits.
Michael was born in the former Soviet Union. He arrived in New York in 2004, bringing with him a true entrepreneurial spirit. His formal education is from the City University of New York – Brooklyn College and NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate. He lives with his family in Brooklyn and enjoys supporting a number of charitable causes.
